Imperatriz
This was a project where I redesigned this client's Instagram and her brand identity. I resarched more about the name she gave herself "The Empress", which was inspired by the tarot card, ruled by the planet Venus, so I instantly decided to incorporate the colors green and rose, to evoke a more earthy and feminine aesthetic, and because it is the colors associated with the planet. That is a bit of the creative process for this specific brand.
Serum for your cooch?
Yes! That's exactly what this is. We are super careful with skincare, that being facial and body, and why not give this same special treatment to your vulva? This serum is great as an aftershave or after engaging in sexual relations but it also can be used every day for general hidratation. Our whole body deserves its special care and your coochie should definitely make the cut and also be taken care of.

Beauty goes along with Marcos’ works. The grace of his paintings and the imaginative quality in his colorful cut-outs conjure up shapes that replicate Brazil's nature in abstract form, eliciting a sense of peace as soon as they are put on display.
The collection of artworks in this book were curated with meticulous care. No sooner do we reflect on his mesmerizing paintings than we realize that the multiplicity of layers is not limited to the physical prints but is the very stuff that reaches out and excites the observer.
This book materialized with the special help of photographer Hector Guinez, whose talent captured the energetic charge of Marcos’ cut-outs into photographic form and rendered this beautiful book possible.
Meeting Marcos made us convinced that this was a book worth publishing, that his works had to be brought into public view. His is a talent to be reckoned with. We are grateful to have shared, somehow, some steps along his path.
We hope that the Cut-Outs Series by Marcos Lopes inspires you as they have inspired us, and that they bring you a fresh look into Brazil's fauna.
